Original Hacienda Grill: Experience Authentic American-Mexican Flavors in Bakersfield

Good food, great service. Friendly staff We were seated without delay, and offered a cold beverage (on a hot day) right away

Walked over here in the later part of afternoon to have an early dinner and cocktail after a long day at the show. We were immediately greeted and given the option to select our desired place to dine. Our hostess just happened to be our server too. Or maybe our server just happened to be playing hostess when we walked in. Either way, she's super sweet, very personable, and right on top of offering recommendations of the most tasty entrees on the menu. We ordered cocktails which were clearly free poured, hand blended, and not filled with excessive s&s mix. Just a nice mix and I'm ready to order another and my first one isn't even half finished. My dining companion apparently gives the thumbs up to the tortilla chips because I glance over and the basket is almost empty. Speaking of chips, the salsa is quite nice with its finishing bite. So far, nothing I anticipated. I ordered the short ribs because I've never seen them on the menu of a Mexican food restaurant and I really do like short ribs. I was forewarned that they were spicy but I give them two thumbs for the nice balance of spice. The Fajitas came with lots of steak and chicken, nice balance of flavor, and perfectly charred veggies -neither overcooked or underdone. Corn tortillas ordered with Fajitas were burn your fingers HOT. Only thing that could've made it better would be the addition of some cheese on the side. Highly recommend. Wonderful service, tasty drinks, delicious meals, and someone quaint, small restaurant with a good size patio that had space heaters.

Another splendid meal at the Hacienda Grill on Buck Owens. This place is a little hard to find. The parking lot is set up kinda weird, but the food is delicious. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is good. Our Chicken Enchiladas were plenty to satisfy us.

This is a hidden gem. Decor and furniture inside is a little outdated but the food is GREAT! We ordered a platter of taquitos which were delicious! A wet burrito; the meat inside was well seasoned and flavorful. Enchiladas with rice and beans were sooo good! Service was good! Young lady sat us down and less than 2-3 mins a young man came to take our order. Will definitely come back!

Wow! What a surprise. I was staying at a hotel just down the street from the Original Hacienda Grill on a cold and rainy night and I didn't feel like driving anywhere. So I could go to Denny's or the Original Hacienda Grill and I chose the later. It was wonderful! Small and cozy, with an extensive menu and full bar the salsa was outstanding. I eat a lot of Mexican food and I can't remember when I liked it so much. The enchilada was hot and flavorful, and the taco was big and meaty. I live in Los Angeles, but will definitely make my way back to this gem next time I am in the Bakersfield area. Excellent food, cozy atmosphere, and top notch service.

Roommate and I went to lunch before, we started with an awesome margarita. I love there margaritas because they are very lime forward. Then we both ordered the hacienda chili relleno, I got the chicken and Adam chose with shrimp. Never thought of having it with anything but just cheese? It was outstanding, but everything they make is wonderful.. I recommend them to everyone I know. The ladies and Christian are so excellent in there service and make you feel like family.

Went this past weekend...And the food was delicious.We tried the Molcajete and the flavor in that salsa is one of the best I've had so far in Bakersfield and not just me but both of us agreed the flavor is something we are definitely coming back for ..The service was great and food came out steaming hot ...thank you for the great service and we will be back !

Awesome service & great sized portions! We came here with a party of 6 & got seated promptly. The combination plates are a great deal. Burritos are huge & delicious. The staff was so great at making everything to our liking. The chile relleno was cheesy and saucy- as it should be! Great family restaurant to visit!

Just a short walk from the Holiday Inn Express on Buck Owens Blvd and the Ramps to Hwy 99. We were warmly greeted and chips/salsa were promptly brought. The house margarita I ordered came quickly. It was large and tasted great. My wife had iced tea. Our server, Josselyn E. greeted us with a beautiful smile. She was very pleasant and friendly. Our ordered was served FAST! I had a Carne asada burrito. It came with rice and beans, served hot, and tasted the best! My wife liked her enchiladas as well. Our server checked on us often. You need to go here!!!!
